Molecular

Inside the reckless dawn you sleep
a foreign world tangled in
the multigranularity of starts and stops –
Blasted remembrances of granite rocks
and limestone slabs past rooted pines
and lilacs lavender and white.
The hemispheric disturbances of cabled lakes,
courage to undergo the broken shapes
that reiterate what is lost in place
of nothing human or alive, the fires
of the mind that smolder – sink to
lower worlds colder, reign
of counterfeit soldiers and chemicals
